About Us
Provenance Homestead was born out of a deep calling to work together as a family, cultivating God's creation. We want to eat (and share) food that is truly healthy and delicious - unprocessed, local, naturally raised and easily traced to its Provenance, or point of origin.
The Hollingsworths are a family of four living in Browns Summit, North Carolina - Steve, Elizabeth, Rosemary & Clayton. We have a garden, goats and sourdough to tend to at home, but we love to go hike and forage when we can.

Steve has worked as a chef and baker for over ten years. He completed his Culinary and Pastry Arts degrees at the August Escoffier School of Culinary Arts and has trained in Turkey and Thailand. After working as both a restaurant and private chef, Steve began baking from our home and quickly grew a devoted following. He has a passion for deep-diving into innovative culinary processes and finding the best ingredients he can. Steve is an Ohio native and Army veteran with a lifelong love of the outdoors. He enjoys hiking, bushcrafting, and foraging for mushrooms and wild food. His many skills and interests led him on a path to homesteading, with a dream of producing all of ingredients needed in a loaf of bread himself.
Elizabeth is a homeschooling, homemaking mom with a love for natural medicine and wellness products. She completed the Herbal Immersion Program at the Chestnut School of Herbal Medicine and holds a Bachelor's of Hospitality Management from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. She enjoys foraging for wild ingredients to craft into natural medicines, teas, and body care products.
